The food of Rome is as romantic as the Trevi fountain.  In the streets you would see vendors selling huge Globe Artichokes, slices of ham and Prosciutto, and chickpea fritters.  To cool you off from the Roman heat, a cool lemon ricotta pie would do the trick.  And of course, pasta is king.

Appetizer: Globe Artichoke, heart of Celery and Parmesan salad or Fava bean, Prosciutto and Pecorino cheese with crusty bread

Entree: Fresh made Pasta Carbonara - a creamy, comforting concoction of Prosciutto, eggs and homemade pasta

Dessert: Lemon or Chocolate Ricotta pie - the Italian version of cheescake

Wine: BYOB
